Regarding the label selection of protein purification, the editor of the protein purification system said his own opinion, and hope to have some reference for you.
In vitro recombinant protein expression technology has penetrated into various fields of biology. Currently, there are four main types of in vitro recombinant protein expression systems: prokaryotic expression systems, mammalian cell expression, yeast expression systems, and insect cell expression. The general expression experiment includes three steps: vector construction-expression identification-protein purification. In the vector construction phase, in addition to some necessary expression elements, codon optimization and tag selection also need to be considered. Choosing the appropriate label not only facilitates protein purification and promotes protein solubility, but also cannot affect protein structure and function and downstream applications. The following pictures show several protein purification tags to help us better design experiments.
